After months of grey weather, June finally shines and brings the Indian Riders Fest 2024 to Budweis, Czech Republic. Under the banner of the
Indian Motorcycle Riders Group (IMRG), Indian motorbike enthusiasts from all over the world will gather there for five days of adventure and fellowship.
We are a small group of journalists and friends of the brand and are heading to South Bohemia – a region that is often underestimated, but offers breathtaking landscapes, historic towns and well-maintained roads. So there’s nothing better than chugging through most remote Bohemian villages on the latest Indians and being treated to delicious food and the best hospitality. Led by Frenchman
Jean-Marie Guyon, who has been organising the event with great passion for several years, the tour group also includes
Ola Stenegärd, head designer at Indian, motocross legend
Carey Hart and experienced racer
Jeremy McWilliams.
There is a lot on offer at the festival location in Budweis: In addition to a Dutch “Wall of Death“ and cool live bands, great historic Indians are on display: around fifteen collector’s items, including the legendary Scout 101 and a “Four”, attract the attention of biker enthusiasts and history buffs alike. A highlight of the festival is the impressive motorbike parade, in which over 1,200 motorbikes take part. The streets of Budweis become a stage for the Indian-bikers, who proudly present their machines. The enthusiasm of the spectators can be felt everywhere as the participants ride through the city and enjoy the atmosphere. In total, the festivities attract almost 4,000 Indians, which emphasises the popularity and success of the brand meeting. It is not only the local population that actively supports the event, as even the governor of the region and the mayor of Budweis are present and back the event.
The Indian Riders Fest 2024 has once again proven that it is an unrivalled experience for every Indian owner – a celebration of friendship, adventure and passion for motorbikes that makes the hearts of all bikers beat faster. In this unique community, motorcycling is celebrated not just as a hobby, but as a lifestyle, bringing people together from all over the world and creating unforgettable memories.
With plans already set for the next Indian Riders Fest in Lipno nad Vltavou in 2025, the participants are looking forward to another gathering full of adventure and shared passion for Indian motorbikes.
